Will My Insurance Cover Dental Services?

Yes! Dental services typically fall under ‘basic coverage’. Each insurance plan provides different types of coverage depending on their employer. The Ontario Dental Association has a suggested fee guide that we follow here at Teeth and Beauty, which is recognized by insurance companies.

Do You Offer Direct Billing To My Insurance?

We do! Direct insurance billing means that instead of you paying out of pocket and submitting a claim to your insurance provider, we bill your company directly and immediately. This method is simple, convenient and depending on the extent of your coverage, you might not have to spend any of your own money. We are happy to work with all insurance companies in Toronto, and a number of major insurance providers such as Green Shield Canada, Manulife and Blue Cross®. In addition to direct insurance billing, we also accept MasterCard, Visa, debit and cash payments.

Can You Clean My Children’s Teeth?

Yes! Yes! Yes! With our very close relationship to the Toronto Tooth Fairy ;) we absolutely adore seeing kids of all ages. Determined to break the stigma of ‘horrible first dental appointments’- We will make their appointment fun and engaging with hands on learning and demonstrations of proper oral hygiene care. This will help encourage your child to be an active participant on keeping their mouth healthy. It is possible for your child to grow up cavity free with good professional help and dental knowledge.

How Often Should I Get My Teeth Cleaned?

Every mouth is different! That is why we do a complete oral hygiene assessment on each patient that reviews their specific needs to maintain a healthy mouth. Some people are not prone to heavy plaque build up or even cavities, and can see their Dental Hygienist twice a year, where others may be considered higher risk for disease progression and need to come more often. Regardless, we will review all of this information with you at each dental cleaning appointment and include you in making the regimen for you that ensures a healthy and happy mouth!

Is Teeth Whitening Safe?

Yes. Both the Canadian Dental Association and American Dental Association have recognized in office whitening to be a safe procedure. Despite popular belief, teeth whitening does not damage your enamel in small amounts. However, it is important not to overuse any form of whitening solution to prevent chronic tooth sensitivity.
